One of the best things (well, okay maybe THE best thing) about being a demonstrator for Stampin' Up! is that I get to order a selection of NEW catalog merchandise early. I am so excited and anxious about the arrival of our new catalog in just 2 weeks! But I do have a few brand new items that I am working on making samples of before my NEW CATALOG INTRODUCTION open house on July 6th. All I can say is WOW! These sets have already made it to my "favorites" in just a few days - I am having so much fun with them, and they are truly
fantastic.
This card is made with my FAVORITE of the new sets so far...Baroque Motifs. I also used the coordinating patterned paper (yummy!). I can't tell you how much I am enjoying this set - It is so elegant, versatile, and easy to use! On this card I used Chocolate Chip and the new In Color cardstock River Rock, along with the Baroque Designer paper. I embossed the images on this card, using Chocolate Chip Craft Ink and Clear EP, accented with some "flirty" ribbon, and used a sponge dauber to soften the edges with Close to Cocoa ink.
This set lends itself so well to embossing - my heat gun is getting lots of lovin' these days! This next card is a super simple but elegant design for a wedding card. I used Elegant Eggplant cardstock, embossed in Silver Detail EP, cut out the detail and mounted on Brushed Silver cardstock, accented with White Wide Organdy ribbon. SO Simple, but I really think that this set is so spectacular, that you really don't need to do much to make a beautiful card.
